Social Media Research Findings Provide Insight for Connecting With Agriculture Audiences

by | Jan 18, 2023

Lenexa, Kan., (Jan. 17, 2023)Precision Reach, agriculture’s leading programmatic service provider, has new research showing targeted social media is an effective way to reach agriculture audiences. These findings have shaped a new social media advertising product that connects businesses with target audiences — Precise Social.

“Farmers and other key agriculture individuals are heavy users of social media,” says Michael Jung, SVP of Precision Marketing at Precision Reach. “To our surprise, the most-used social platform is not always Facebook. We are excited to help agri-marketers precisely reach target customers on the best social platforms for their specific ag audiences.”

Farm Journal’s first-party audience data is at the core of Precision Reach’s operations and this most recent social media study. Precision Reach conducted qualitative and quantitative research efforts to identify where agriculture audiences are on social media with emphasis on platform audience data match rates and audience social media behaviors.

Precise Social takes an audience-driven approach to social media advertising on Facebook/Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, LinkedIn, TikTok and Twitter. The strategy focuses first on the target audience then determines the right social media platform.  Precision Reach will use research findings to help agri-marketers construct the right social media plan for their marketing objectives. Precise Social is an extension of the Precision Reach programmatic portfolio that will continue to connect client advertising messages to the right audience wherever they go online.

The Precision Reach team will outline research findings during Farm Journal’s Farm Country Update on Tuesday, Jan. 24, at 3 p.m. CST. The session is free, but all attendees must register at https://events.farmjournal.com/fcu-january24-2023.
